Shannon Weaver is a Hawaiian artist from the island of Maui. From a very young age, she knew she wanted to be an artist. Growing up in Maui, with its large art community and many galleries, further fueled her interest. With much encouragement from family and friends, she studied art at Baldwin High School, then continued on to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in May of 2000. After graduating, she became a flight attendant, in order to travel and “see the world”. What she found was a bigger appreciation for the uniqueness of Hawaii.

Shannon Weaver draws her inspiration from Hawaii. Her goal has always been to express the beauty of the people, culture, and land, in an effort to honor her Hawaiian heritage. All of her paintings start from an original sketch she creates from her mind’s eye. The colors she uses are bright and vibrant, just as Hawaii’s beautiful climate is. The Hula and the Lei, integral parts of the Hawaiian culture, are brought together boldly in her original oil paintings.

Currently, her artwork can be viewed at Nohea Galleries at Ward Center, Ward Warehouse, and at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel.
